Prince Yaw Sakyi Nyarko is a final-year Renewable Energy Engineering student at UMaT and the current Deputy Project Manager of REESA. He is passionate about using data to drive smarter energy decisions and build sustainable, future-ready systems across Africa.
As Deputy PM, Prince has helped lead REESA's Mentorship Program and coordinated REESA PM team. His work reflects a strong blend of project leadership, technical coordination, and student empowerment.
Prince's final-year project focuses on using LSTM neural networks to predict Akosombo Dam reservoir levels, exploring how deep learning can improve hydro resource planning in the face of climate uncertainty. This reflects his broader ambition to work in energy data engineering, helping turn underutilized datasets into insights for energy access, planning, and resilience.
With hands-on experience from the Electricity Company of Ghana and recognition as a Millennium Campus Fellow and ISMC Finalist, Prince is committed to shaping a cleaner, smarter, and more inclusive energy future, one powered by data and purpose.
